The World’s Best Sausage Balls

Every time the weather gets chilly, I whip out this sausage ball recipe. They’re a hit at potlucks, make great appetizers, and can be frozen for a warm treat anytime.

Ingredients:

  • 2 C Bisquick

  • 1 lb pork sausage (I prefer mild)

  • 2 C shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 C shredded mozarella

  • <1/4 C water

Pro-Tip: The secret to great sausage balls is using the dough hook on a stand mixer.

Directions:

  1. Add Bisquick to the mixing bowl with hook attachment

  2. Break sausage into 4 pieces and add to the mixing bowl

  3. Add the cheese

  4. Add a little bit of water to help it stick together

  5. Mix together using the dough hook on the stand mixer until it forms a ball (about 5 minutes)

  6. Divide and roll into balls (not too small but not too big)

  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until lightly browned

I love storing sausage balls in the freezer for a quick dinner or breakfast. Refrigerate the uncooked balls for an hour or until firm and then throw them in a Ziploc bag to eat whenever you feel like it.

Enjoy! Pssst….If you make them, let me know what you think by leaving a comment.
